I don't know what's her problem. There was only one emo post on his blog and she makes the assumption that he's emo and will always be seen by her as emo. It probably has something to do with the fact that the Hillsongs and Planetshakers postcards were on the blog. She is such a hypocrite-.

Seriously. If you have a problem with the both of us, or even the whole community being like that, just say that to our face. You won't get anything by beating around the bushes like that.

sorry

I admit I've crossed over to the other host and I dislike it very much.

"Smack that! All on the floor,"

That's whats going on in my life currently. I'm joining the performance (dance) with a few other girls. Cally from Kwang Hua is in charge of it. I like Cally, she's a great girl. She was my bunkermate for Meta camp, very friendly.
Nisha called me just now to ask whether I was joining the Mid Valley trip which has been postponed to Friday. Very very unfortunately, Add Maths tuition is on that day. Doesn't that just suck? However I know that it is meant to be so, so I won't complain about it.

Good night people!

Very busy. No real update, but...
American Idol last week was great. The Bon Jovi week. Very very entertaining.

Blake's performance was the best so far. It melted my heart! I think he looks so much cuter with black hair.
Jordin was just lucky this time. Her performance wasn't excellent but it was entertaining enough to keep her for another week. Melinda was the cutest! She was still blur after the rocking performance.

On another note, Cher compared us with Josh Groban and the African Children's Choir. Like, who WON'T sing that good when their singing with BLOODY Josh Groban?! He's super talented and super hot. Which choir singer would even dare to DREAM about fooling off while singing with him? That's why she shouldn't compare us like that. Just look at half of the choir team. I bet they don't even know when Groban sang with the children's choir. Ahahahaha. LOL. I crack myself up when the mid year exams are near.

Thoughtful gifts

  • Apr. 12th, 2007 at 9:43 PM
london

I've just finished watching Cherylyn's gift to me.

Like Gaylord's present, it was touching and sweet. I'm actually liking my birthday this year! The gifts were the most expensive anyone could have ever bought. The best gifts cannot be bought with money, definately.

If someone buys me a car for my birthday and another writes a heart touching letter, I'd (honestly!) like the letter more because it came from the heart, from a human's heart which has feelings, emotions and memories. Not that I'd reject materials, mind you.
Cher's presentation was very friendly. I'm thankful and grateful dan amat bersyukur kepada Tuhan yang telah memberi saya pelbagai jenis kawan yang ganjil. No matter how much I dislike the people who work at the Koperasi who don't do their jobs, I still appreciate them. No matter how much I dislike the gangsters in my school, I sitll appreciate them. No matter how much I feel out of touch with my closest friends, I still love them. No matter how much I don't prefer the youth, I still care for them. No matter how out of touch I am with the online friends, well....I still wish them well.

It's something that I can't explain. You have to experience it yourself.
It is kind of sad that we all are going to part after this year.

"The hardest part was letting go, not taking part," -Coldplay, The Hardest Part (X&Y)

Song of Solomon, chapter 4 verses 9 to 12:

9Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

 10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

12 Though one may be overpowered,
       two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Have a great week ahead.

XOXO

Khadi wants an update. And yay! I finally learnt how to put memes online.

You Are 34% Vain

Okay, so you're slightly vain from time to time, but you're not superficial at all.
You are realistic. You know that looks matter. You just try to make them matter less.

You've Changed 48% in 10 Years

You've done a good job changing with the times, but deep down, you're still the same person.
You're clothes, job, and friends may have changed some - but it hasn't changed you.

Your Quirk Factor: 71%

You're so quirky, it's hard for you to tell the difference between quirky and normal.
No doubt about it, there's little about you that's "normal" or "average."

Still need to study. And she wants the Hari Kecermelangan photos online. Like, now.

I forgot to mention that Mia Palencia (www.miapalencia.com)  was also at the girl's conference during the first night. The well-known jazz singer was there to sing a few songs. She first sang John Mayer's Waiting On The World To Change. I screamed so hard. Her band were also awesome. She also sang Sayang, a Malay song. I liked it a lot. Afterwards she sang Jesus Loves Me. Her voice is so much better than....than....Fall Out Boy.

I feel like I should be saying something.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KHADI! I just realised that everyone gave you testis testimonies and I didn't.
Thanks for being my shrink, my best friend, my gal pal. Thanks for making me your friend. I am truly blessed to have an open-minded friend like you.
Here's to more love for you in the future (with the opposite sex)!
Note the color.

PS: I wanted to post this REALLY bad picture (and I don't mean photographing skills-wise) of Gaylord on Twister with Anna B but couldn't put myself to it. I'll show it to you someday. XD

XOXO

PPS: I don't have Mia's vid up, but I do have the acoustic Numb by the quartet on YouTube. Here it is:

I've been to the Be That Girl conference last Friday and Saturday as an usher and it was great to be there.

There were plenty of girls. The only guys were in the security. Who knew ushers had dress codes? Anyway, this is BTG's t-shirt for 2007. RM 18.

There were also body art for RM 5 by APT and hair dos by them for RM 10. What a BARGAIN!

These were the goody bags. Some stuff had been upgraded from last year, like the Loreal stuff-last year's was a tiny sample bottle but this year's were at least 10 cm tall. lolx.

APT also had an elective. I wasn't intrested in it, we sat too far to the back to notice any body art. Photo below courtesy of a photographer named Jonathan. Link: http://picasaweb.google.com/amazingjonathan/

There was also the fashion show. All the peeps and doods in Klang attended it. I totally despised the totally disrespectful people who walked around after the show. Did they have worms in their asses? Anyway, here are a few of the pictures. Videos will be up soon, along with my Flickr link.

^Project Runway, anyone?

^Guys weren't left out.

More pictures and videos when I feel like it.

I also just came back from Metamorphois Camp II in N.U.B.E. (National Union of Bank Employees) It just underwent a renovation. Who'd knew my father went there in the 70s and 80s with his bank employee friend? lol. And who knew I'd be there 20 or 30 years later, and not as a bank employee? The Big Guy upstairs is funny. lol.
Meta Camp was great. Possibly my first and last time as a camper there. Hopefully I can help out next year. Pastor Andy Yeoh (for those of you who don't know, Andy Yeoh is the lead singer of Altered Frequency) was the speaker. He spoke quite well and hit all the right notes.
The games were also very fun. My group got out of Hydro War barely 1minute into the game. Zlwin (zlwin.blogspot.com) was very supportive all the way. The Amazing Race Meta was a blur for me as I had to help out at check point 7.
The dorms were very nice. We always woke up in the FREEZING cold with blur eyes. The night before, we'd sit up and talk all night, or, as Michelle would put it, "Slumber party at the top bunk!" . She is so cute.

UPDATES: K had her b'day on Monday. B is back from NS. I have add math tuition tomorrow. God help me.

I'm too lazy to change the icon. It's so hard to even LOAD one icon to my account!
Anyway, I'm listening to Taylor Hicks' new album on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Taylor-Hicks/dp/B000IY04S6/ref=cm_sylt_fullview_prod_top_1/105-5742764-6596431/105-5742764-6596431
I don't even mind that it's just a tiny snippet because this man is so good in singing you just have to hear it, even if the quality is terrible! Seriously!
He's a great winner and a better singer. I think I'm going to buy this album for my dad. The only reason he watched American Idol 5 was to evaluate Taylor's weekly performances. This season's ciplak punya Taylor was really....well....ciplak.

My cheeks are still red from today. It's quite an amazing feat for me to even get the top 50 for merentas desa (granted, it was a very close shave). Seriously, I can't remember anything from the run. I do remember the long back lanes at Palm Grove. The smelly monsoon drain that nearly caused girls to faint. My mind complained most of the time but I guess the stamina that was Given really helped me through.
I wasn't sure whether I could be at the finish line early enough to wait for my friends but I was, and shat was I surprised. Honestly. I used to be VERY lazy during cross-countries and used to have friends say to me "Why you come in so late wan ah?" but THIS time, WOW.
The proof speaks for itself.
The Big Guy up there may not have answered to most of my dialogs, but He made sure I had something to remember from my possibly last cross-country run as a student.

My week was averagely great. The flood in Johor is still there, but mostly in Batu Pahat as the authorities had to release water from the already overflowing dam. Poor Batu Pahat residents. Did you know that Batu Pahat High School won the Piala Tan  Sri Dato' Arshad Wira Cup debate? I found the blog of the best speaker a few months back. Poor Adilah, too. Cuddy told me she was placed at the highest floor of her new school. Wait, then that should be lucky Adilah.
ANYWAY, for our English debate, we had to go off in groups to make a report about the personality in school whom we most admire. Ridiculously ridiculous I tell you. At least, that was what I thought when I was paired off with XandY, who has no common personality trait whatsoever with me. Not that I don't like her, I mean, opposites attract.
Luckily I got paired off with D and Cuddy. We ended up interviewing THREE personalities today (No, they're not split personalities of one person). It was very fun. The one question women avoided was, you guessed it, "How old are you?". Only the third interviewee was happy to give it away.
Here's how D tried to get the age:
Me: How long have you been in the teaching industry?
Interviewee: This is my 21st year of teaching, actually.
D: So how old were you when you started?
Interviewee: Nice try.
CF was on today, as usual. To be honest, this was my first attendence to a normal CF meeting without games or food. It was good, though. I saw Madeline from the first church I went to. I don't think she was too happy to hear that I was attending another youth, but she did add that she was glad that I was at somewhere. I saw my ex-ward and my bestest friend(s) which made me feel glad that even though I was alone, someone was still there to keep me company. No one can be alone in this life, right?
I mean, obviously some can, but they tend to exaggerate it in such a way that one gets exhausted listening to them complain.
The song that I'm listening to now is Flood by Jars of Clay. It was in Phases magazine and they said it was addictive/refreshing/a nice change or something to that effect. Had my sis load it form DawaiLimau. It's quite nice eventhough it's outdated by a few years. I like it!

PS: Mood says HIGH-Hyper In His Holiness.
PPS: No Delirious at AYA festival, but Sonic Flood will be there.

Cuddy, I love you much for coming by to read. Here are some pictures from the camp's first day.

Credits for ALL pictures to Petrina (thepatooties.blogspot.com). More camp pictures can be found at

These were the foods that the teams were supposed to consume during the telematch. Can you see the banana? And the baby food? And the mustard and the pickles? I love pickles....................on hot porridge.

Someone (Don't say who, Cuddy) drinking the said whole can of Coke. Poor girl. Note the omnipresent yellow color.

No, she's not doing the chicken dance. There are three eggs hidden within her body and she had to cross a vast quantity of sand without cracking them. I saw some people walking sideways ala crabs, and the funny thing was they were wearing red!

Stupid girls are alive and well

  • Dec. 25th, 2006 at 9:56 PM
bah humbug
...Even after the publicity has died down.
Go blog-chaining (hopping) and you'll see one certain blog that's, well, FRANKLY SPEAKING demoralises teenage girls!
I guess they're really dumbing themselves down to nothing more than pouting girls with too much time on their hands. There's even a picture of them with the words STUPID GIRLS on one of their blogs.
Honestly I'm shocked to be a girl after seeing that blog. Whatever the reasons they should bring up should they read this post, I'm just making my personal statement and opinion, just like they're making theirs. Pink's song made girls all around realise that they are allowed to DUMB themselves down JUST AS MUCH as they are allowed SMART themselves up.
Why on earth are girls being unexpensive in public?
Okay, so maybe I AM being harsh by objecting their use of free speech. And maybe I CAN stop going to that space if I really am against it. But I'm just sending a reminder out there to anyone who's on the verge of puberty that teenage girls don't have to conform to this sort of industrialised species. Like Pink said, we're allowed to be AMBITIOUS.
It's just so unnerving to see these girls who go around doing this while they are still raw. What I mean to say is, they can be better off making something BENEFICIAL than something so...so...SELF-INDULGENT. Maybe they don't know how to make something beneficial using the internet. Then they should start to find out HOW to make something beneficial!
All these girls think about is fashion, gadgets and the occasional boys. Believe me, if you've seen one of these Industrialised Species' blogs, you've seen them all.
Not all girls are I.Ss. There are a few species that aren't too indulgent in themselves, thank God for them!
I don't hate these girls. Most of the girls I know ARE Industrialised Species. Which makes it so hard for me to communicate with them. Most of them need an extra nudge or two to be sociable with. Honestly,
THEY
SPEAK
IN
A
DIFFERENT
LANGUAGE.
They have a different accent, and they are so different you just want to salute them for not conforming to the society's image of an ideal teenage girl.

Please, PLEASE note the sarcasm in that line.
What I mean is that these girls don't conform, it's aight with me. The problem is, they became the standard image of a teenage girl in the society's eyes. Which is BAD. Where have all the smart girls gone to? The girls who spend time being ambitious and hardworking and loving? The girls who have a better way of spending their time then splurging their pocket money on shoes and clothes every week?
I will answer that question in the near future. House MD is on in 6 minutes.
You can guess whether I'm an industrialised girl or not. DON'T ANSWER IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

Guardian Angel

Myriad

I forgot to mention-my team was the YELLOW color team during the telematch, so everyone had to wear yellow.
All the time we were lining up, this guy in green or red started singing "look at the stars, look how they shine for you, and everything you do, yeah they were all yellow" and I had to stop myself from, oh, I don't know, running up to him and say "OhmygoshyoulikeColdplaytoo?IlovethemhaveyouheardBeachChair?IthadChrisMartininit!" Or something along the lines.

I mentioned that we had a programme called Guardian Angel. You guys HAVE to watch this video about GAs. I laughed my arse off when I saw it at the camp! It's the FAQ for GA.

First day of camp
The hall was....dusty. Crampy. Who cares! There were the usual praise and worship stuff all assembled on the stage, and teens and pre-teens alike waiting for the camp to get ready!
Everyone had a Guradian Angel and a ward to take care of. These could be heard during meal times, in hope that their respective GAs would grant their wishes:
"Oi! GA! I WANT CHOCOLATES!"
"Thank you for the sweets, GA!"
"Eh, give this to my ward can ah?"
"WHO'S YOUR WARD AH?!"
"GA! I want a massage!"
"I HATE MY GA!"
Okay, so we weren't allowed to diss our GAs, but no one really minded.
Tele match was okay. I got knocked down by a guy (no one saw that) halfway while running to the other side of the beach. It hurted, DUH, but who cares! Certainly no one did. Ran all the way left and SHOKE the COKE can as hard as I could without attracting attention. It didn't spurt out a lot, but I had to settle like that.
I was inhaling and exhaling, catching up with my breath from the short run and trying to gulp down the whole can of coke. The screams of the people around me were ringing in my ears and I couldn't really decipher what they were saying. I just sipped and breathed. Ran across again, much to the delight of my supporters. Haha.
First heavy nosebleed at night, halfway praying that time. Paiseh. Anyway God was still with me, even in the bathroom. Thank God for U-Mae and Petrina.

This is the stage. Credits to a guy named You Zhi.

I never make Christmas Wish Lists. I think they are troublesome and not many people's unsensible ones come true. These are just THINGS I'd appreciate for Christmas. Nothing much.
I mean, at least I'm not like teenagers who ask for Gucci and Swatch and designer labels and all that jazz kind of presents, right?

^This is a must-have for this year, people! Credits to Andrae Gonzalo (www.andraegonzalo.com), the creator of Happiness is a Revolving Door.

^Sammo said this was good, and she being the wouthor that she is, well I trust her taste. ;)Besides, it sounds very interesting.

^I like this 'cos my private shrink likes it. ;)

^Parachutes by Coldplay has been hailed as Coldplay at its best. I have no opinions on this statement as I started listening to Coldplay with A Rush of Blood to the Head. No bias here!

And here below, we have Things That Are Worth A Mention for Christmas. (I know they're old caps. I'm too lazy to find new ones. Credit: Miami Style and csicaps.)
